The dress itself is lovely. White is crisp, not ivory, and the layers give a nice silhouette. However, the high waist is quite snug. I normally wear a small but had to exchange for a medium. The lace-up helps, but the jacquard has little stretch. Still worth it for the style.
This JSK is gorgeous. The jacquard fabric feels thick and expensive, not flimsy at all. I wore it to a convention and got so many compliments. The lace-up back lets me adjust the fit, and the rose bowknot is beautiful. I'm 5'4" and the length hits just above my knees.
I was nervous about the white jacquard showing dirt, but it's held up great at two tea parties. The high waist sits perfectly and the multi-layer skirt has lovely volume. The bowknot and lace-up back are well made. I sized up based on the chart and it fits like a dream.
The design is exactly as pictured. The white jacquard is pretty and the high waist is flattering. But it arrived quite wrinkled and needed steaming. Also, the bowknot is a bit floppy. Once ironed, it looks great. Fits true to size for me, but check the measurements.
I bought this for a photoshoot and it exceeded expectations. The multi-layer skirt holds its shape beautifully, and the bowknot detail is elegant. The lace-up back is sturdy and the fabric is high quality. I'm 5'7" and it's a bit short, but with a petticoat it's perfect.
