I was worried polyester would feel cheap, but the cotton blend is soft and breathable. The high waist is flattering and doesn't dig in. I wore it for a full day of shopping and felt fine. The sleeves are a bit long for me, but I'm short. Still love it.
I wore this to a local hanfu meetup and got so many compliments. The purple is rich and the embroidery is neat. Hime sleeves drape beautifully. High waist fits my 28" waist perfectly. Does wrinkle a bit out of the bag, but a quick steam fixed it.
The dress itself is beautiful and well made. My only issue is the sizing. I'm usually a small, but the bust was tight. I'd suggest sizing up if you're between sizes. The embroidery is gorgeous though, and the chiffon overlay is a lovely touch.
Bought this for a photoshoot by the sea and it was perfect. The chiffon layers move so nicely in the wind. I'm 5'4" and the skirt grazes my ankles, which I love. The cotton lining is soft, no itch. Wish it had pockets, but still a solid buy.
Wore this to a cultural festival and it was a hit. The hime sleeves are so fun to pose with. Fabric is lightweight, so I didn't overheat. The waist stayed put all day. I did need a slip underneath because the skirt is a bit sheer in sunlight.
The purple is even prettier in person, kind of a soft lavender. The high waist makes my legs look longer. Sleeves are dramatic but not annoying. I've washed it once on gentle and it held up fine. Definitely recommend for any hanfu beginner.
