Wear this under vests and corsets and it works every time. The ruffle front adds texture without being too loud. Elastic in the fabric means it doesn't wrinkle badly after sitting. Washed cold, hung dry, no issues.
The ruffle detailing is great and the black is deep, not washed out. Fabric is lightweight polyester, fine for cooler weather but you'll sweat in summer. My only gripe is the sleeves are a touch long on me at 5'9". Still keeping it, looks good tucked into trousers.
Nice weight, not flimsy. The pleats and ruffles give it that Victorian edge. Long sleeves are actually long, which I appreciate. Elastane makes it easy to move in. Only note: hand wash if you can, the ruffles hold shape better that way.
Bought this for a gothic club night and it was spot on. The stand collar holds its shape, and the ruffle pleats down the front look way more expensive than the price. Polyester has a bit of stretch from the elastane so it moves with me. Got compliments all night. True to size for a slim fit.
Bought as a gift for my husband who's into gothic fashion. He says the stand collar is comfortable and the polyester doesn't itch. The ruffles are sewn evenly, no loose threads. He's a medium and the medium fits well.
