Bought this for a gothic tea party and it was a hit. Long sleeves are great for cooler weather. The coat has a nice tailored shape. I'm 5'7" and the sleeves are actually long enough, which is rare.
The lace details are delicate but sewn well. No loose threads anywhere. I was worried about the shorts being too short, but they hit mid-thigh and look exactly like the photos. The black is a true deep black, not faded.
I'm 5'4" and 130 lbs, ordered a medium. The coat fits perfectly with room for a thin shirt underneath. TR cotton is sturdy but not stiff. Shorts have an adjustable back. Wore it to a convention and got so many compliments.
TR cotton feels like a nice suit material, not cheap costume fabric. The lace trim on the coat is subtle and elegant. Shorts fit true to size. I sized up to a large for a looser look and it worked.
The overall look is fantastic and I get compliments. My only issue is the lace on the cuffs snags easily on zippers. Be careful. Otherwise the TR cotton is thick and the shorts are comfy. True to size for me.
I've worn this three times already. The coat is warm enough for fall but not heavy. Lace hasn't frayed after washing on gentle. The shorts have pockets, which I didn't expect. Great for everyday gothic looks.
Ordered a small for my 5'2" frame. The coat hits at the hip, shorts are not too short. The lace is soft, not scratchy. I like that the sleeves have a slight puff at the shoulder. Feels very high quality.
The design is stunning, very ouji prince vibes. But the size chart is off. I measured before ordering and still the coat was tight in the shoulders. I'd suggest going one size up. Shorts fit fine though.
Shipping took a bit but the set is lovely. The coat can be worn open or closed with the included buttons. The black is rich and matches the lace perfectly. I'm 150 lbs and large fits comfortably over a shirt.
