These are very black and the lace-up detail is well made. I like that I can remove the pocket when I want a simpler look. The fabric is a good weight, not see-through. I’m 5’4” and the length is just right.
Finally found shorts that actually look punk without being costume-y. The black denim is solid, the cotton blend feels sturdy but not stiff. I like that the pocket comes off if you want a cleaner look. Wore them all day, no issues.
I was worried the sizing would be off, but they fit perfectly. The elastane makes them comfy for sitting and walking. The detachable pocket is bigger than I expected. Wore them with a band tee and got compliments all night.
I wore these to a punk concert last weekend and they were amazing. The lace-up front is real, not just decorative, and the denim has a little stretch from the elastane so I could move around. The detachable pocket is surprisingly handy for my phone. True to size.

The shorts fit well and the material has enough stretch to be comfortable. My only complaint is the lace-up front takes a while to adjust, and the laces are a bit long. Still, they look great and the detachable pocket is a nice touch. Would buy again.
