Wore this to a local steampunk fair and got so many compliments. The butterfly embroidery is really detailed and the lace trim looks expensive. Cotton-linen blend is breathable but holds shape. Sizing runs true, I got my usual medium. The irregular hem is my favorite part.
Good quality cotton-linen with pretty jacquard weave. The lace detail on the hem is delicate. I'm 5'4" and it hits mid-calf, which is longer than expected. Works well with heels. Black color is deep and hasn't faded after two washes.
Ordered this for a Victorian tea party and it was a hit. The embroidery is neat and the lace isn't scratchy. Fabric feels like real linen, a bit heavy but that helps it drape nicely. True to size. Would buy again in another color if available.
I was worried the lace would feel cheap but it's actually soft and well attached. The jacquard pattern adds nice texture without being shiny. I wear it with a corset and boots. Only note: hand wash cold, it wrinkles easily if you machine dry.
The embroidery and butterfly lace are absolutely stunning in person. However the waist runs about an inch small, so size up if you're between sizes. Fabric is a bit stiff at first but softens after a wash. Still a keeper for my gothic wardrobe.
