Wore this to a local goth night and got so many compliments. The jabot and stand collar look way more expensive than they are. Puff sleeves hold their shape. Polyester is a bit warm but fine for evening events. Fits true to size, maybe slightly roomy in the waist.
Gorgeous dress, the stand collar and jabot really make it. Fabric is polyester so it doesn't breathe much, but it drapes nicely. I'm petite so the long puff sleeves went past my hands a bit; I cuffed them and it looked fine. Got compliments anyway. Would buy again in another color.
The dress itself is really pretty and the lace work is delicate. My only issue is it arrived fairly wrinkled, needed a good steam before wearing. Stand collar sits a little high on my neck but I got used to it. Puff sleeves are long and dramatic, exactly the gothic vibe I wanted.
I paired this with a corset belt and boots for a convention. The pleated lace jabot stayed put all day and the puff sleeves gave that dramatic silhouette I wanted. No loose threads, seams look sturdy. Washed on gentle and hung to dry, no shrinking. True to size for my usual medium.
The black and white contrast is so crisp. Lace detail on the jabot is lovely and the pleats survived shipping without crushing. I'm 5'4" and the sleeves hit right at my wrist. Wore it for a tea party photoshoot and it photographed beautifully. Definitely a statement piece, not for blending in.
