I wore this to a goth night and got so many compliments. The mesh layer is surprisingly soft and the lace-up back actually adjusts. Polyester blend has a bit of stretch so it hugs without squeezing. Ruffle trim looks way more expensive than it is. Bonus: it's true black, not faded.
The dress itself is gorgeous, the ruffle detail is so fun. But size up if you have hips. I'm usually a small and the small was tight across the lace-up area. Mesh is delicate, so be careful with jewelry. Still keeping it because the gothic vibe is exactly what I wanted.
The look is 10/10, very gothic and romantic. The mesh on the sleeves was a little itchy at first, but a wash softened it. Lace-up is functional, not just decorative. Ruffle hem is a bit long on me (5'2"), but heels fixed it. Good value for the style.
I've struggled to find gothic dresses that don't feel cheap. This one has real structure thanks to the polyamide blend. The mesh overlay doesn't snag easily, and the ruffles don't droop. Wore it to a convention and it survived all day. Lace-up back is adjustable, which helps with curves.
Bought this for a metal show and it was ideal. The multi-layered mesh keeps you cool but still looks dramatic. Lace-up front ties stay put once you knot them. I'm 5'6" and a medium hit right above the knee. Elastane gives just enough give for dancing. Would buy again.
