I bought this for a wedding and it was perfect. The gothic style is elegant, not too over-the-top. The velvet fabric is high quality and the color is rich. This is my second gothic dress from LaceRealm and this one is my favorite. The mercerized velvet is so soft and doesn't itch. The long sleeves are great for cooler evenings. I sized up based on other reviews and it fits perfectly. The dress drapes beautifully and the back lace-up gives a flattering shape.
The dress is lovely and the fabric feels high-quality. However, the front chest hollow-out is a bit lower than I expected, so I have to wear a camisole underneath. If you're comfortable showing some cleavage, it's fine. Other than that, the dress fits nicely and the back design is very pretty.
I'm plus size and often struggle to find gothic dresses that fit well. This one is perfect! The material has some stretch, and the lace-up back allows for adjustment. I feel confident and beautiful in it. The color contrast on the front is subtle but adds depth. Definitely worth the price.
I love the gothic style and the velvet fabric is beautiful. The lace-up back adds a nice touch. However, I found that the dress runs a bit small, especially in the bust area. I'm usually a size 2X and ordered a 3X, which fits perfectly. Overall, very pleased with the purchase.
I was worried the velvet would be too warm for summer, but it's surprisingly breathable. I've worn it in both spring and fall. The hollow-out detail adds a nice touch without being too revealing. The dress is well-made and the water-drop buckle on the back is a unique detail. Love it!
The dress is nice overall, but I think the 'decals' on the front are actually just printed or dyed into the fabric, not separate appliqués. Still, they look good. The fabric is comfortable and the lace-up back is a plus. I wish the dress came in more colors, but the black is classic.
