Photos don't do the jacquard justice, it has a dull sheen that looks expensive in person. Breathable enough for a long indoor event. Lace-up front holds tension well, didn't need retying all night. Cuff buckles are heavy and carved, not stamped. I'm between sizes at 5'10" 175lbs and the large gave me the relaxed gothic look I wanted. Shipping was quick too.
The plum blossom lace-up collar is the reason I bought it and it doesn't disappoint in person. Fabric has enough spandex that it moves with you instead of fighting you. My issue is sleeve length, I'm 5'7" and they cover half my hand. Rolled cuffs once and problem solved. Metal buckle cuffs are shinier than photos show. Fine by me though.
Bought this for a ren faire plus a couple concerts. Polyester blend means it doesn't wrinkle badly in a bag and it breathes better than I expected for jacquard. The lace-up front actually adjusts, not just decorative stitching. I'm 6'1" 190lbs, large fits true. Buckle cuffs have real weight to them, you can tell they're carved metal. No complaints.
Fabric is breathable and comfortable, the gothic jacquard is more subtle in low light which I actually like. Lace-up adjusts smoothly and the buckles are a nice detail. Took almost two weeks to arrive though, and the packaging was just a thin bag with no tissue so it was creased at the collar. Steamed it out. For the price the shirt itself is a keeper.
First one fit so well I ordered a second as backup. The plum blossom corset-style collar lacing is the detail that sold me and it looks even better worn. Polyester spandex blend is comfortable against skin, no itch. Metal eyelets and carved buckle cuffs both feel durable after several wears. True to size for me at 5'8" 150lbs, small. Highly recommend for anyone into gothic fashion.
Ordered this for a vampire-themed party and it carried the whole outfit. Delicate jacquard catches light without being flashy, and the metal eyelets down the front look hand-set. Cuff buckles stayed closed all night, no snagging on anything. I'm 5'9" 160lbs, medium was right with a bit of room. Washed cold on gentle, hung dry, came out fine.
Wore this to a goth night and got stopped three times about it. Jacquard fabric feels rich but still breathable, and the lace-up front sits exactly where I want it. Cuff buckles are solid metal, not cheap plastic. I'm 5'11" 170lbs and the medium fits with room for a tee underneath. Only thing: it arrived with one loose thread at the hem. Snip and done. Would buy again.
The jacquard pattern is gorgeous up close and the retro vibe is spot on. Front lace-up gives a nice fitted shape without being restrictive in the chest. My only gripe is the high corns collar runs small, I have a 16.5" neck and it sits snug even unlaced. Fine if you skip a necklace, less fine if you don't. Sleeves and body length are accurate to the size chart.
I own a lot of dark clothing and this is now the top of the pile. The spandex blend gives just enough stretch across the shoulders. Metal carving buckle cuffs are the standout, they feel like actual jewelry. Sized up to XL at 6'2" 210lbs for an oversized drape and it worked. Lace-up front extends to the hem like described. Zero regrets.
