This is exactly the Jirai Kei vibe I wanted. Black velvet, embroidery detail, Chinese style collar, long sleeves that actually reach my wrists. It's warm enough for fall and layered over a hoodie for winter. The print is subtle but stands out in photos. Shipping took a couple weeks but worth the wait.
I bought this to wear with my gothic and Jirai Kei outfits and it ties everything together. The fabric is velvet with a polyester lining feel, so it's soft but structured. Embroidery looks hand done. I'm 5'4 and it hits mid thigh, which I love. Got a small and it fits true to size.
The embroidery on this is really beautiful and the velvet feels way nicer than I expected for the price. I wore it out for a night in the city and got compliments all evening. Only issue is the sleeves run a bit narrow, so layering a thick sweater underneath is tough. If you're between sizes and want room, size up.
Wasn't sure what to expect ordering a Japanese style coat online but this exceeded expectations. Velvet material is thick, embroidery is neat not scratchy, and the cut is flattering. I wear it over dresses and with jeans. Only note: it's not waterproof, so don't treat it like a raincoat. Otherwise perfect.
Honestly the product pictures don't do it justice. The black is deep and rich, the print and embroidery pop more in person. Wore it to a convention and three people asked where I got it. Sleeves are long, shoulders fit fine, no weird smell out of the bag. Very happy with this purchase.

The embroidery and print combo is stunning. It's got that Chinese style collar with a Japanese gothic feel and it works. Comfortable, long sleeves, roomy enough to move in but still shapely. I've washed it once on gentle and it held up fine. Would buy again in another color if they had one.
