I'm between sizes usually and the lace-up back saved me. High waist sits right at my natural waist, no gaping. Fabric is polyester and elastane so it moves with you instead of feeling like cardboard. Red panels are a deep wine red, not bright. Wore it to a concert and danced all night.
Wore this to a ren faire and got so many compliments. The lace-up back actually lets you adjust the waist, which I needed. Polyester has a little stretch so it wasn't stiff. Fishtail flare is subtle but cute. Black and red pop together. Wish the laces were longer but that's minor honestly.
Really happy with the look overall. The fishtail hem is a nice touch without being costume-y. Lace-up detail feels sturdy, not flimsy. Only complaint is it's a bit long on me, I'm 5'3" so it hits lower than expected, but heels fixed it. Elastane gives just enough stretch. Would buy again.
Ordered this nervous about the fit but it's true to the photos. High waisted, lace-up back, black and red colorblock. Polyester fabric has a slight sheen that looks nicer in person. Wore it to a goth night and felt great. No issues with the lacing coming undone either.
Didn't expect much but this skirt surprised me. Thick polyester, not see-through, and the elastane makes it comfortable to sit in. The lace-up back is functional, not just decorative, which I appreciate since I can tighten it. Fishtail shape is flattering. Already planning to wear it to a wedding reception.
